GBMC Support Group...
It was sooooooooo great seeing Colleen, Leigh and Lauren tonight, and anyone else I might now have recognized, lol. Everyone changes so fast! That's a great thing 
I'm so sorry I didn't really chat with anyone. I just PM'd Lauren and explained. Since this thread is a day old, I don't feel bad hijacking it to pass on my good news... I got promoted today! It is LONG overdue, but I won't look a gift boss in the mouth, lol. I do believe that this was made possible because of my weight loss. Both because of my improved self image, and my improved level of energy. I work in retail, and have wanted to get out. Perhaps I will want to get out again, but for the meantime I am quite content. I had been asking for a promotion up one level, and got one up 3 levels instead. I'll be working for a manager that I had worked for in the past, before he got promoted to store manager, and I really like him and have a lot of respect for him. So, I'm thrilled, to say the least. My head was so in the clouds when I went to GBMC. I almost skipped it, but since the meetings usually make me feel so good, I did go. I'm not sorry I went. However, I don't think the new leader is a good fit for our group. I'm not giving up just yet. But, hopefully things can change in the new year.
Anyhow, hopefully everyone (and more) will be at the meeting on November 12th

OMG, I totally agree. I was getting sort of impatient with her. I found it funny that she said this group was for "us" in the beginning, but then she babbled for most of the meeting. And how she took forever to go on about directions on how to get to the conference room. Oh well, it was still nice to go.
