OMG - I think lunch is stuck

For real this hurts.  I had left over pork from last night- Left overs I usually don't do. But it was so yummy, I did. About 20 minutes after eating I started getting this terrible pain.
I have a very sharp pain about 1 inch above my scar. It feels like a knife, and a ton of pressure. Even my clothes touching it hurts .
How long will this last?

yup....you're stuck.  whenever I'm stuck I usually end up throwing up.  My body just wants to have no part of the stuck food.  If you don't feel nausious at the same time you'll have to wait it out until it passes through your pouch.  that could take anywhere from 10 - 30 minutes I think.  I've never had to wait it out, it's always came back up for me.  I'm sorry you're going through the pain.  It does hurt terribly.  I never do leftovers at all because it can get dried out no matter how much you chew.....unless it's in a soup then it might be ok to have as a leftover.  Soup is a good lubricant.

Poor thing!!!  As soon as I saw the word pork, that did it - I FELT stuck just reading it!!

I'm with Aaron, leftovers just don't do well for a lot of us!!

As soon as it passes or you throw it up, the relief will be instant.

DO NOT DRINK ON TOP OF THIS!!!  A lot of people advocate some warm tea, but just envision a clogged drain having water poured down it - same thing!!!!

Try walking around a bit or laying down, if possible.  Both of those have helped me.

Sowwy!!

yeah i agree with Tia......don't drink anything......I normally just loosen my waistband to see if it will go down....that's usually when I know if I'm going to throw u*****t....then I run to the bathroom LOL

Yep, you sound stuck.  I normally walk around and I find it especially helpful to "hang" in a doorway.  I stand in the doorway, with my arms stretched over my head and finger touching/holding onto the top of the door frame.  For me *maybe it's mental* there's something about stretching that seems to help the food move a little faster.  Sorry - this makes for a long afternoon.

However, once it passes, make sure you baby your pouch....it might be a little tender for the next day so eat softer foods that go down easier for the rest of today.

Right again!!!  For me, it always felt like a pulled muscle afterward - which, I guess, in a way it is.

I also find that making deals with God helps!!  Like, "Oh, God, if you make the pain go away, I promise I'll never eat pork again," to "Oh, God, please just let me die!!!"  LOL!!!

Sorry, D, not laughing at you, laughing with you!!  You're incredibly lucky though, if this is the first time you've gotten stuck.  What a miserable feeling!!!

Hugs,

T

Well, live and learn!!  Like I said, picture a clogged drain - cause that's essentially what it is!!
