It was a GORGEOUS day at Weber's Cider Mill Farm!  I just wanted to say thank you to everyone, and their families, who came out today; especially Sandi and Lisa who came all the way from York, PA and Cambridge, MD!  For those of you who I hadn't met before in person it was really very nice to meet you face to face and for my old friends it was a pleasure to spend quality time with you again!  And Ellen, you HAVE to put up an avatar of yourself, you are MUCH cuter than that darn HEN! LOL  All the kids had a wonderful time with everything especially on the big hill slides............and us older kids enjoyed it a little bit too! LOL  If anyone has photos from today, please post a few to share with the forum.  I look forward to the next get together with everyone...maybe a holiday luncheon?

We had a wonderful time, especially Memphis, and my big kid Charles.  It was so nice to finally be off work and get a chance to meet some people that I have talked to online so many times.  Sorry we missed lunch, but our bodies don't like Mexican very much even if our mouths do!  I'll put my pictures up as soon as I can.  And a holiday luncheon sounds great!

Sandi, El Salto was very good.  It was the first time I had been there despite saying for years, "we've gotta try that place!"  Best beans I've ever had LOL  Can't blame ya for not wanting to attempt the menu considering your travel distance to home .

Thanks - we had a nice time and no problem getting to the soccer game on time!  I have pictures but I suck at trying to get them posted directly on my posts....
Heather, stop ragging on my hen - its my MO.
Isn't it so cool how the kids just bond like they've known each other forever??
Peace

Oh Ellen, I love your hen!  I have family in Delaware (Hockessin and Wilmington) and my cousin, Leo Strine, is Vice Chancellor.  And it IS so cool about the kids.  Grown ups could learn a lot from childhood behavior.  btw, you are doing impeccable with your band, keep up the great work!!!

I had such a great time! I have a slight sunburn to prove it too, lol. I loved finally getting to meet Ellen, Sandi and Lisa! Everyone looks so great!!  It is always great for me to spend time with kids. Sometimes I get sad over not having my own, but then I get to spend time with other people's kids and grand kids, and get a fix. Best part of that is I get to enjoy them on the better behavior, lol.

Kinda OT, but I'm around kids A LOT at work. It's nice to see that there are still kids out there who's parents care how they act in public. All of the kids today were so great to spend time with. They all truly cared about each other and shared. The older kids were gentle and kind towards the younger kids. When mom or dad or grandma or grandpa said something, the kids listened. I'm sure as the parents, they see the good and bad times, but today I saw a great group of kids displaying good behavior. Yes Heather and Melissa, this includes your two energizer bunnies at the restaurant.

Thanks everyone for sharing a great, fun day. I look forward to the next one!

Now, I'm POOPED, I'm headed to bed.

PS: We need to start a campaign to get some no sugar added cider donuts next year. That smell was intoxicating!
Hugs!

Hey Kathy!  Those two kept going and going afterward at a Halloween party Melissa took them to!  Kylie ended up passing out on the sofa around 8pm!!!

Oh, and I think I gained 10 pounds just SMELLING those donuts!  I've never eaten one and it's probably BEST that way! lol

Glad to read that you all had a great time!  We all definitely enjoyed Weber's Farm last year and it saddened me not being able to be there.

Maybe next year.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Cira,

You, Gino and the kids were (and are always) definitely missed!  It was a great day for everyone.  I hope and pray that 2009 is a major turning point for everyone.  2008 has just had too many negative things happen for too many people.  My girlfriend emailed me and told me that she and 19 more people were just laid off from where I used to work.  She had been there for over 20 years!
