Lap Band/ Six Month Diet with PCP

Hey guys for those who had to go through six month of visits PCP ( per insurance), did anyone GAIN weight instead of losing weight?

I lost weight for the most part, although it slowed down as I got closer. I kept "tasting" those foods that I knew I would be giving up after surgery. I have heard of others who did have probs losing weight before surgery who still had the surgery and did just fine.

Yeah, not proud to admit it, but I did.  Proving that diets just don't work for me!

I completely understand.  My life is "anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" and up until I woke up and they told me that the surgery was successful I questioned whether it was actually going to happen.  Even 2 days before surgery I was told that one of my tests had been lost and I had to go repeat my upper GI.  It was bad enough having to do that once.  But I was determined to let nothing stand in my way of getting this surgery.

I gained 5 pounds but end up losing 1 pound before the surgey. I still go aproved. However, my weight gain was due to my thyroids I medication was off and it was being adjusted until I got the correct dosage one month prior to surgery. On my first visit with my surgeon I weighed 253, my highest was 259,  on the day of surgery I weighed 258.  I had surgery 5 days ago and I am already down to 250.
