3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY EVE!!

Good morning!!!  Despite waking up to read that our Governor has decided to try to balance the State's budget on the backs of already underpaid State employees by cutting public safety, education and forcing furloughs on us, it COULD be worse and I DO have things for which to be grateful:

1.  That my family appreciates my cooking/baking skills.  Although conveying my "love" for my family through food is probably part of the reason I had wls, I still do it.  After an exhausting 12 hour day yesterday, my brother came home to a homecooked meal (and kids already fed and dishes done) and said, "Do you know how nice it is to come home and smell dinner?  That just says home to me."  That made me feel really nice.  Of course, I'd feel nicer if B would say something besides, "Tia, I LOVE your mac & cheese" (the crap outta the blue box!!).   That child looks at anything I cook like IT'S going to eat HIM!  SIGH.

2.  That I reconnected with an old friend.  His last close relative died just this year, he really has NO ONE and I've already invited him to spend Thanksgiving Day with us.  Knowing him, he won't, but at least the invite's out there.  I HATE the thought of ANYONE being alone, particularly on that day.

3.  Jell-O S/F Creme Brulee Rice Pudding - Need I say more.   AHHHHH!!

Have a great day!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning

I'm glad Gary appreciates what you do for hm and the kids.

And bless you for inviting  your old friend to Thanksgiving dinner:  Thanksgiving

should be about being thankful for family and friends - noone should be alone that day.

My 3 for today;

1.  That tomorrow is FRIDAY

2.  Water classes tonight

3.  That  I have a stable job and our company has a three year contract. These days its nice to know we don't have to worry for a couple years.

So whats going on in your world today?

DP -

Yep, he absolutely does.  Some people, people who don't know me or the type of relationship I have with my brother, think it's nuts and wouldn't do all that I do, but I really don't care, I KNOW he would do the same for me.

Did I mention my friend is single?  LOL!!  Nope, not for me and not for any of my friends, either.  We tried going out a long time ago, but I "suspect" he likes his alcohol a little too much for me.  But we ARE friends, and that's what matters.

Amen to job security!!!  I'll add to more job security for you starting in about a month, when KB and I start baking!!!!  LOL!!

Hugs,

T

OMG - why is it right before you travel out of town that weird things happen? I woke up this AM to red splotches all over my eyes and in circles below them, I look like I have had head trauma! I suspect it is a new eye cream that I used because my dark cicles were getting darker. Ahhh, vanity, it will kick you in the butt every time! I will be calling my dermatologist shortly - SIGH!

1 - I am thankful that I am working from home today. Hopefully, my faces will clear up before I go back tomorrow. (I still have to face the dentist today looking like this!) Where are my ?!!!!!

2 - The sheer joy of walking into WalMart last night because I decided I needed some capris for FL and going to the clearance racks, picking up size 18s or 16/18 if stretchy, deciding by just holding them up that they would fit and buying them. When I got home, I tried them on and they all fit just fine! I would never have risked that in the old days. Shoot I would never have been able to buy any clothes for me at Wal mart in the old days!

3 - 2 more work days until vacation and things are starting to fall into place. I pray that there are no more last minute surprises at work!

P.S.  to Antoinette!

NOTE TO DEB:  Two days before vacay is NOT a good time to try a new product!!!

(((Deb)))

Maybe a Benadryl will help?  At least you'll get a nap out of it!!!  Bare Minerals makes a good concealer for eyes - it's called "Well Rested."  I have some that you can try when I see you again.

WOO-HOO for Walmart and being able to buy off the clearance rack!!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Well today I'm finding myself grasping for 3 things LOL  So I'll go with the basics

1.  My OH family.....without you guys and my Maryland boards I would probably not be around.

2.  Another nice morning after the rain last night.

3.  My bed..........I wish I was still in it LOL

btw Tia.....I just read...my happy pills are extended release so I'm not sure what to think about that.

Aaron - So help me God, if you EVER think of "not being around" again, I promise to NOT ***** slap you!!!!

You are too important in my life to put me through that again!!!  As far as the ER pills, well, there are several schools of thought on that.  Mine are, too, but SEEM to work okay.  If you're still not happy with the happy pills, call your surgeon, see what they say, then call the PCP.

I'd threaten to stay on top of you until you do that, but I know you're not wired that way!!!  LOL
I kill me.

Love you,

Blondie

I ended up not going because the more I thought about it, the more scared I was.

Scared of what?  The water?  Putting on swim trunks?  Other people?  D) All of the above???

You SHOULD be scared of the fact that Darla and I will be quite close to you next weekend when we go to Cira's and we'll be bringing rope and handcuffs!!  Oh, wait.......I'm NOT bringing handcuffs!!!!  LOL!!!

Seriously, sweetness,.....of WHAT are you scared?
