Deb -

I've said time and again that family is what it's all about.  I know it makes you so proud to watch your nephew grow into a man with good family values.  In my opinion, if you don't have that, you have nothing.

So....what kind of costume didja get?  Are you going to a party or just dressing up to hand out candy?

HOW many more days until vacay?  Oh, I forgot to tell you when I pm'd you the other day - when I was in Key West, I looked over the side of the ship as we were docking and saw two baby hammerheads - it was the coolest thing ever!!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

I am the instigator of the Office Halloween Party. While still working, we also dress up and enjoy treats all day!

I am the Wicked Witch of the West. The costume is perfect and I am full of ideas for props to enhance it. Like a framed picture of my sister the Wicked Witch of the East under the house with a ribbon that says In Memorium, and converting my office into my castle, etc.

I am hoping while in the Keys that we take a boat excursion. Hopefully, I would love to see some wild marine life.

Tia - You are so right about counting our blessing for having a job even if we don't like it.  I'm lucky enough to actually love my job, but I just wish I made more money lol!  My boss is so awesome and understanding, and doesn't give me a hard time if I have to leave because my son is sick or an emergency came up.  He even doesn't give me a hard time when I can't come in.  He has 3 kids himself and he knows how hard it must be for me being a single parent.  Oh and he lets me have control of the thermostat also lol!  Every morning when I come in I have to turn the air on because I am over heated from the walk and then the stairs (I can't wait till I never have to be like that again), and he lets me get cooled off and when I do I turn it off lol.

Aaron - Congratulations on losing 118 lbs in 5 months!!  That is so awesome!!!  I also love my "happy pills"!  It keeps me from choking people also lol!

Today I am grateful...

1.  That I have this OH community.  I get so much from coming to boards everyday.  This keeps my motivation going, and I am blessed to have found all of you.

2.  That I was able to put on and button a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in 2 years.  They were tight lol but I got them buttoned lol!

3.  For Consignment shops.  My son is growing like a weed, and they are so much more cost efficient to buy clothes from.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey Becki!!!

You do, indeed, have a wonderful boss!!  I've had some REALLLLLLY bad ones, but I've also been blessed with some great ones who have gone on to become lifelong friends.  It makes it much easier to go to work when you like your job.

I'm glad you're here, too - this board is the best on OH in my opinion!!

Once you're post-op, you'll be needing a sweater for your walk and a belt for those jeans!  I promise!!!

Hugs,

Tia

I am with you on the chilly people needing to bring a darn sweater to work!!  I hate it when the office is warm.

Today's 3 things to be grateful for:

That my nephew and newborn niece are both healthy, and that my sister and her husband are enjoying their recently expanded family.

That I am healthy after my WLS and that tomorrow I will have the 2nd JP drain removed.

Pain meds.  Without them, there is no way I would be able to get around my apt.

Jen, you'll be one of those chilly people this winter, believe me!

Congrats again on your new niece. Pics please!!

Congrats too on the 2nd drain coming out. I know it felt SOOOOOO good to get mine out.

Sorry you still need pain meds, but hopefully things are getting a little better each day.

Hugs!

H Kathy,
Even if I become one of those always chilly people, I will wear layered clothing and a sweater if I need to.  I will not expect the heavier people to just suck it up and sweat.  I'm going in 30 mins to get the drain removed.  I know it'sgoing to hurt but it will be great to have it out to lessen the daily pain.  Things are better each day. check your PM inbox
