Day Before Surgery!

I will be having my surgery on Tuesday. For tomorrow I was wondering about popsicles. Can I eat regular popsicles or do they have to be sugar free? Also, I know this seems late to ask, but do I take 1- 1/2 oz. of fleets two times or one time tomorrow?! I am so nervous about taking it. Does anyone have any suggestions about making it taste better? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Since you are presurgery, I don't think it matters a lot about the type of popsicles. I don't remember about the amount of the dosages of the prep items. Did you MD give you a paper with the details to follow.

As for the taste, it is nto pleasant. I tried to do it as fast as I could and I held my breath while I did it. Smelling it makes it worse. I also had a flavored beverage ready as a chaser.

Best of luck!

Unless things have changed with Dr. Moein since I had my surgery 10 months ago, you can eat any popsicles you want pre-op. Also, you take one dose which is 1.5 oz. of the Phosphosoda. It tastes awful, I won't lie. You need something good tasting to drink right after. My advice is drink quickly, don't smell it, and have your good tasting stuff ready to go (like diet soda, or sf lemonade or even milk).

Best wishes on Tuesday for an uneventful surgery and lightening fast recovery. You're in great hands. There's a shiny warm spot on the losers bench for ya!
Hugs!

I was confused about the Fleets also.  Directions said take it between 10-2 so I figured I could work half day and then take it at 2 and just stay home rest of day.  Well, I called the office and they said I was supposed to  take 1/2 of the bottle at 10 and then the other 1/2 at 2.  I ended up taking it at 2:30 and 5.  Oh well, it didn't last too long into the night.  Taste was terrible, even with the lemon flavored I had.  Good luck, it will work out.
