Where did the girls go?

Okay everyone, need a little input here.

Hopefully, I'll get to go shopping soon.  The drains and the staples should come out on the 10th.  If they don''t, I don't know who will throw the biggest tantrum, me or Joe (DH).

Anyway, I have a question.  I will definitely need some new underwear.  Panties will be a no brainer.  I can feel the ones I have on now falling down the backs of my legs every time I stand up.  The only thing holding them on is the bump of the JP drains.

My big issue is:  What about bras?  My girls have left the building for sure.  Where can I go for a fitting?  Someone mentioned Bare Necessities in Lutherville, but, I'm not sure I could afford the prices.

Also, any ideas on a style that may make me look like I have something more than a bump on my chest?

I'm probably down to a size 36 or 38.  I don't know if I have a cup size.  Joe says that even a training bra won't do, since I don't have enough to train. Funny man!

I'm not complaining.  This has been an amazing journey.  But, I want to go back to work showing off the new skinny (no more gut) me to it's best advantage.  Do I sound vain?  I'm not really.  Then again, maybe I am.

Please, Santa, fill my bra for Christmas.

You can try Macy's or J.C. Penny if they have one near you.

OMG - your surgery is Tuesday!  You must be excited.  I was so ready for mine.  Good thoughts and prayers will be sent up for you.

Thanks for answering this.  White Marsh has both stores.  Maybe I should try there first.

Is someone going to be in touch with you or your family to let us know how everything goes?

The inquiring minds here will want to know.

On our way ... ... to a better tomorrow.

April, I had mine done at Lane Bryant when they had my favorite Cacique sale (buy 1 get 1 free).  They size you for free, but regardless of where you get measured, they won't make you buy a bra.  You can get measured somewhere and buy where you can afford!

Thanks Heather.  I have heard rave reviews about the Balconette Bra.  Do you know what size LB starts at?  I'm sure I'm down to a 36 or 38.

Yep, Lane Bryant starts out with 36A so you are in luck!  Luckily for me my ta-ta's didn't shrink AT ALL when I lost 80 pounds!  My bras were the ONLY thing I didn't have to buy new; although rather than using the last hook I can use the first one now!  The Balconette Bras are really great.  I love them for low cut tops because they push you up and out without being able to see the center of the bra.  I'd happily give you some of my cleavage if I could.  I started at a C/D before this pregnancy and the ***** Fairy has visited so I'm a FULL D now!  My cups runneth OVER! LOL

OMG, I thought my husband was kidding about the ***** Fairy!  Maybe there's still hope for me!

The first place that I always lost weight in was the boobs.  I have heard such good things about the Balconette.  Maybe they'll be on sale once the doctor finally lets me out of the house.

Thanks for all of your input.

Have a great week.

I've heard wonderful things about Nordstrom's bra sizing service.  Plus I hear they have a wonderful selection of bras.  There is one in Towson Towne Center and in Columbia Mall.

Pre-RNY I had a 48DDD and I had an old 48DD that I wear now, but I think I'm really down to a 46D.  I am just not prepared to spend $$$$ when I am no where near done losing.  They are really deflated looking though.   And saggy.  I need something to hike them up.  I wouldn't mind keeping the boobs around and losing more in the stomach, though.

I have never shopped Nordstrom's.  Mybe it's time to give them a try.

I'm close to goal, so I think its time to finally buy a decent fitting bra.  Especially since I have practically nothing left to call a boob!

Thanks.   Word of mouth is the best recommendation.

I recommend the balconnete bras too.  After you get measured, if they don't have your size in stock, you can order the bras online!~
