I'm home from the hospital
Hi there! How is it going? Good to hear one of your drains is out. They are quite pesty! I am not sure if I can come to the MADS get together on the 18th. I am hoping my hubby and I going to be in OC for a nice romantic weekend. We never get to see each other. If our plans fall through, which usually something comes up at his work, I will be there. I will let you know as time gets closer.
:O)

Congrats and welcome home! Recovery does suck and hurt, but I am not even 6 months out and it seems like a distant memory.
Can you ask your doc for liquid pain meds? That is what mine gave me and they kick in a lot faster and make it easier to sleep. I think the worst thing for me was having to sleep on my back. I am a side/stomach sleeper. But I finally got there after a few weeks and it was heaven.
My best advice is to make sure to take your Prevacid (or similar) so you don't end up like I did. I take it religiously now.
Congrats again!

Thanks Leigh. I am taking my prevacid-like stuff daily. I decided to crush my oral pain meds and they work better that way. Today I felt just fine. I slide downward when I sleep even though I start out all propped up with pillows. Soon I will get the other drain out and be able to sleep on my side again.
