I'm home from the hospital

It was rough there for a while during recovery with my BP shooting up, but eventually I got to go to my room at 9pm.  I was not prepared for the intensity of pain I would be experiencing once they stopped the morphine pump.  Dry oral pain meds are way less effective.  Today is my first day waking up in my own comfy bed, and I am in less pain, as long as I don't laugh or cough or lean on my 2 jp drains.  I passed my leak test yesterday, and walked the halls every day, although very shakily.  They said my incisions are healing up quickly and that I look really good. (?) I sure didn't feel like I looked good, but maybe they meant I had regained color in my face.  So, they sent me home yesterday about 7pm.  When my cousin and her husband drove me home, they were so very helpful.  She shampooed my hair and he carried all my stuff in and helped me not tofall backwards while walking and very woozy.  Theyn also picked up my RXs for me.  I am so lucky to have them.

My sister and her new Daughter were released yesterday too, and are now home. My nephew loves the new baby and is fascinated with her. I can't wait to meet her, but I have to recover a bit more before I'm up for a visit.
Thanks to you all for your well wishes.  It means a great deal to me.

awww hugs (except that would hurt, right?)

Glad you're home..... It'll get much better once those yicky drains come out... (It hurts like heck to have them pulled but you'll so much better after)

Let me know when you feel up to visitors as sadly no job offer yet....

I could use someone to talk to....

Kristina, I do feel a lot better after having one of my drains out, and soon when I have the other one taken out I know I'll feel even better.  LOL I bet you don't feel the need for someone to talk to anymore after yesterday!!  But if you do, you know how to reach me.  Thanks again for your support and paying it forward yesterday.  I do not know what I would have done without your help.  I hope Karma comes back to you and blesses you with a fabulous job and adorable new clothes to go with it!  Hugs,
