Johns Hopkins Bayview visiting hours

Does anyone know what visiting hours are at Johns Hopkins Bayview?  My sister and mother would like to visit me next week after my RNY.  Also, is there a minimum age for visitors?  My sister will probably be bringing my niece (21 months) and my nephew (3 1/2).

Thanks!

Not sure about the ages but the last time I called to find out the visiting hours in the section you will be recovering in is 10 am - 10 pm. FYI my mom never left. I'm not sure where you live but my parents appreciated being reminded that this is a hospital in a city. You have to have a wrist band to enter the hospital and the main level can have some interesting characters.

Are you all ready to go??? You are going to do great!!!

The staff at Bayview are seriously amazing. I was there for 5 days and they were like family by the time I left. I'm actually excited to see them tomorrow when I visit Jennifer!

So much to do....so little time!  I have my liquid vitamins ordered and have received the iron and B-12 so far.  I have started stocking up on creamed soups, broth, unsweetened apple sauce.  I also have a TON of protein powder samples from vitalady.com.  I still need to do my advanced directive, clean my house, get dog food bagged up in single servings so all my DH has to do is pour into bowls (I have 5 dogs), and a little bit of work still to do for my job.  PHEW...I still have so much to do!  LOL!  Other than that I am SOOO ready!!

You will probably be on the 6th floor surgical unit after your surgery. Your sister's kids will probably be allowed up there but its at your sister's discretion. Some people are really sick and you don't want to have kids around, ya know? Anyways, my 3 year old was there with my hubby after my surgery.

Surgical nurses are very busy! They usually have 6 patients every shift, but don't let that get in your way! If you need something press your button and ask!!!

I was impressed by the care I got on my post surgical unit. I received a get well card in the mail and then a week later I received a follow up phone call! Not bad!

GOod luck on your surgery!
