I liked andy's posts but i guess we scared him awya so i wanted to start posting about what we did exercise wise. i know for myself that it is key for my weight loss since I tend to eat more than i should. exercise also is helping me feel better mentally and physically and that is key to any long term success. So what did you do yesterday? What are your plans for today?

Yesterday I saw my personal trainer and she kicked my butt. I did weights, resistance band stuff, floor stuff and 15 minutes on the treadmill.

Today I plan on going swimming after work. I find that i can swim even though I am extremely sore from yesterday.

Well, I skipped working out last night because I really needed to tend to some personal stuff that I have been putting off and I needed the time to do that. Tonight I have 2 exercise classes in the pool which I am looking forward to, especially since the Tuesday pool classes were canceled due to lightning.

I try to make it to the gym at least 3 days a week to do Cardio and Strength Training with the weights and do some kind of extra cardio on Tuesday and Thursday.  So far this week I have made it to the gym twice and have slacked on the cardio on Tuesday.

Well I went to the YMCA for my water aerobics class but I was too late.  They gave me a tour of the place and the Hagerstown Y is awesome!  I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and my knee is yelling at me today LOL  I have my first appointment with the personal trainer on Friday!  WOOHOO!

If you raise the incline on the treadmill its better on your knees, or you can just skip the treadmill and do the elliptical machine. Thats what I do because it's better on my joints and also I have plantar fasciatis so its less impact on my heels.

I'm sure your trainer will hook you up! I'm jealous! I want a trainer to kick my ass!

hehehehehe.....I can't control myself on the elliptical.  As soon as I step on it, I'm going a mile a minute.  I have issues with going up hill as well as down hill LOL  I guess I had just better stick to the water :)  OH and with my new membership to the Y, I get three free session with the trainer :)  anything after that and it's like 35 dollars per visit.

Well I am still under lifting restrictions so I am only doing cardio. Yesterday I did 40 minutes on the bike and then 10 minutes on the elliptical. I can't wait to start strength training!!!

Hi    I hope you enjoyed your session with your Personal Trainer. It's their job to kick but, they claim/ believe we will actually thank them for it some day  IDK..I didn't go to the gym last night (too emotionally worked up by work to do it). I plan to go this evening afterwork. It's Thursday so that means 2miles on the treadmill, followed by the weight circuit. Then 1.5miles (or a little under) on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the eliptical (a challenge made by my trainer/  MAC coach Matt). Have a great day. Talk to you soon. -Antoinette
