Hey guys I made it home from surgery yesterday and doing pretty good.  Pain is pretty minimal now just a little on my left side but bearable.  Now comes the task of learning to eat in the new fashion.

Wanted to say thank you to all of you that sent me well wishes, they were greatly appreciated.  You all are inspirations when thinking about this new journey.  Thank you to Terri for this visit, was really nice to finally meet you and see a friendly face.

Now I can official say "I'm a loser!!"

Christy,

So glad to hear you are home and doing well! Just take it one step at a time. I remember those early days for me. I wrote everything down. It seemed like so much to remember and keep track of at the time. But it really becomes easier and the time passes faster than you think it will.

Again Congratulations!

Oh My...I completely forgot I'm supposed to be writing down everything I eat.  Thanks so much for reminding me.

And thanks for the kind words.

Glad to hear you are home, and relatively comfortable Christy. You're such a loser . Just remember to sip, and walk as much as you are comfortable doing. You're right, the challenging part is learning how to eat. Each phase of your diet will bring new challenges, but new rewards as you find things you like, and things that your pouch likes. Just take it slow, and be patient with yourself.

The pain you are feeling might just be gas. If you haven't already done so, you might want to get some Gas-X strips. They were such a big help to me. I'm not a Doc, and don't even play one on TV, but I do remember the only pain I felt was from a bit of gas.

Congrats, and welcome to the bench!
Hugs!

Thanks Kathy -   Started my GasX strips this morning, hoping they give me some relief.  And I just returned from my first walk...so I'm getting there.

Thanks for the positive thoughts.

That's me....I'm sip sip sipin and walk walk walkin'.  Just got back from my first lengthy one, didn't do to bad although the gas pains in my back is making me walk hunched over, so I'm trying to get rid of them.

I wish I could come tonight, but I think it would be too much

Yeah you stay home and take care of yourself. You may feel good but if you push yourself to much you could hurt yourself.  Next meeting is the 23rd so you should be all and good by then
