OMG I'm going in! and my sister is in labor!!

Ok, folks, here I go! Thanks to everyone here who provided me with information on WLS, I am fully prepared to get my surgery and looking forward to an improved life afterward. Get ready to watch me drop this weight!
I am going in to have my DS tomorrow at 9am. I was going to have my sister update my friends, family, and my OH angel HokieFan, but now my friend Shannon will be notifying them. My sister's a bit occupied going into labor earlier than expected to give birth to my niece!! What a lot we have going on in my family!
I am so psyched top be an aunt for the second time, and to have a nephew and a niece both!

I am heading down to Baltimore earlier than I planned so I can try and see my sister and niece before i go in for my surgery. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until I am discharged Sunday!

Wow!!! Two new lives - yours and your niece's!!!! Things are going to be great all around!!!

LOL!! I'm not driving myself crazy, I'm just really keyed up like the day before Christmas or a great vacation, making my list, checking it twice....very excited to get this surgery, kind of surreal that it's finally here.
My niece was born already, a little after 7, 8lbs 8oz. It was a very fast delivery! Mom and baby are fine. Baby G just had to go to NICU since she was a month early. They had induced my sister due to preeclampsia. But baby cried and moved and breathed and peed on the nurse, so I think she'll be fine! They whisked her off to the NICYU fast to check her lungs for fluid and we didn't even get to hear how long she is? I'll get to meet her Sunday.
Talk to you after I'm on the loser's bench!

That's wonderful Jen!! Congrats to your sister.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
