Support Groups DC/MD/NOVA?

Hi all,
I am trying to locate local support groups for WLS. Please send me dates and times for all that you know about. I know Hopkins has one, but it meets at a bad time for me since I have to travel all the way from D.C.

I don't attend, but I know that there are support groups at Providence, Holy Cross and GW.  You could probably find more information on their websites.  Good luck!

I am a part of a support group that meets in Crofton which wouldn't be too long of a drive for you.  Kelly Wheeler is our support group leader and the girls that attend are wonderful.  Everyone is very supportive and are great inspirations.

Our next meeting is this Thursday from 6-8 at the Crofton Library.

Thanks, Melissa.Is this a post-op group, or for any WLS people (my surgery date is 11/25)?
It looks like a 40 minute drive, that's not bad.

I have a class on Thursday nights, but should be able to come starting in late November. How often does the group meet?

It is for everyone.  Post op, pre op, just looking.......I will not have surgery until February.  We meet on average every other week.
