Anyone experienced this feeling after a fill?

I got a fill today at 1pm.  I drank an 8oz cup of water before I left the Dr office.  Everything seemed fine.

Then around 4:30 I heated up a cup of cream of crab soup.
By the way... (I actually made this pot yesterday and substituted 1% milk for the whole milk and Fat free 1/2 & 1/2 for the regular 1/2 & 1/2   I still used butter and heavy cream.  But I didn't want to totally botch the soup since it is expensive to make and I didn't want to ruin a whole pot!  Well it turned out excellent, so next time I'll cut back on the fat even more.)

Anyway, the soup was probably a little too thick for my 48 hour liquid phase.  I did only eat about 3 oz of it.
But since then I haven't felt well.  My chest feels tight, almost stuck.  I haven't thrown up, or even gagged or heaved.  I'm just a bit uncomfortable.  I have spit saliva a bit and had the hiccups 3 or 4 times on and off.  Other than 2 sips of water I haven't had anything else since the 4:30 soup.

Has anyone felt this way hours after a fill?  Also, do you think some warm tea would help me feel better?  Maybe relax the tightness a little?  That's what I do in the mornings is drink warm tea or coffee to open me up.
Do you think I should give in a day or two to see if it eases?

Seriously, i'm not in pain, just feel tight... tighter then I have ever felt before.

Today's fill was 1cc, I have 6.5 cc in my 11cc band.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Hi Kelly,

i have heard some other people mention it before when they have major restriction right after getting a fill. But I don't know anything about Lap band.  So I hope Heather M chimes in soon for you.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. i would definitely do a little tea sip very slowly even if you have to keep re heating it until you are done.  Chamomile tea, ginger tea is good and mint tea too.

Good luck sweetie.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hey Kelly!  Sounds like you have developed some serious swelling.  Go to regular liquids like chicken broth today and maybe tomorrow, not thick ones.  The rest of tonight use a heating pad on your tummy on and off to help with the swelling.  The best things you can do it not have anything for at least 2 hours before bed tonight because if you do you could reflux in your sleep.  See how you feel after a day or so.  If you can't keep down liquids tomorrow call your doc for a slight unfill.  You are probably at a point where 1cc is going to start to be too much for a fill.
