Thank You Cira for being my Angel
So Cira, thank you for being there, not only for me, but for all of us.

I'm sore and still have the drains in. I have my first follow-up with the PS tomorrow, so I'll see what he says then. I doubt if the drains will come out for at least another week. What a bummer - no shower yet!
But I am really psyched - NO HUGE STOMACH!!!! For the first time in many many years, I can't wait to go shopping. My husband says I look like an orphan or bag lady. Even my underwear are falling off! Not exactly a pleasant visual at this stage.
Overall, I feel pretty good. Not as much pain as I expected.
Thank you so much for your concern.
Hugs back to you,
April

How did it go with your appointment? Do you still have the jp drains in? What did the doc say?
Sorry for all the questions. I just logged on to see if you had posted and if I had not seen a post I was going to call you in a few.
I can't wait to hear about it.
(((hugs))))

Anyway, the doctor said I had a really severe defect to be repaired. He also said he was surprised that I wasn't sorer, since he did cut my oblique muscles to pull them around. I feel tightness in my sides, like maybe you overdid something. No real pain.
I can't pick up anything. I thought the doctor was going to have a stroke when I asked about picking up our little 5 pound Pomeranian. He said, "please, no!' I still can't go out. No more walking than necessary and I can't resume walking for exercise for at least 2 months. Again, I am surprised. Of course I will do what he says. I hope to not go through another surgery for a long, long time. Never would be great.
He did say, though, that you would never know I just had major surgery - that I looked great.
No shopping - I believe he and my husband are in cahoots on this one!
I will post a full update tonight or tomorrow. I'm getting a little tired.
Thanks so much.
Hugs to you & the whole crew on the home-front!
