what to know what are the best vitamins out there that has everthing in it so i will not have to take several pills.surgery on oct.21 and what is a good liquid diet

Your doctor will probably specify which vitamins by brand that he wants you to take.  There are a lot of opions, but I would definately start with waiting for your pre-op appointment before you go out and buy.  Some of the brands are quite expensive.

Lisa gave you good, money saving advice!!!  Unfortunately, if your doctor wants you to take a multi-vit AND calcium, you will have to take separate pills.

As far as the liquid diet, too, that'll depend on what your doctor says.  Some of us started on clear liquids, went into full liquids (including dairy based products), etc.

Or.....are you talking about a pre-op liquid diet?

Have you met the nutrionist yet? When I met with her at Dr Afram's office the other day she gave me a specific list of which vitamins we are to take after surgery. It was a list of the chewable ones they wanted us to take for the 1st 6 weeks and then the regular vitamins to take after that. Let me know if you have and they didnt cover it and ill foward the info that was given to me to you. It is a mulitvitamin and calcium citrate and I believe she menioned Dr Afram will be writing an additional prescription if needed.

Also are you talking a pre-op liquid diet? or afterwards? The nutrionist also goes over the first week of clear liquids post-op with you in the appointment so if you are talking post-op hopefully she will be able to clear that up for you.

I was adviced to have liquid centrum or chewable & liquid calcium Tropical Oasis calcium citrate you can find it online.
