NEW TO ANNAPOLIS, NEED TO FIND SURGEON

hello and welcome to the board.  i'll cast another vote of confidence for my doctor... Dr. von Rueden.  he runs an extremely efficient office and his nurse and nutritionist are top notch.  i also love his support group meetings because they are not only extremely informative, but the people are great.  a lot of doctors don't offer "one-stop-shopping" in their practice and therefore you have to find your own nutritionist, etc.  another advantage i found with DVR that i have seen others on here struggle with is that his financial plan is easier to work through.  he is the bariatric doctor on staff at st. agnes so you are billed one bill for your surgery that includes your hospital stay and his services.  this was very convenient for me.  lastly, all of my pre-surgical testing was completed at st. agnes and it was easy to schedule and complete and the results were immediately sent to him.  made the entire process almost seemless.  i have read about people struggling with this also.  just providing my feedback on my doctor.

and definitely try to make it to a crofton support group meeting. those ladies are the best people in the world and i don't know what i would do without them.

My surgeon is in Baltimore.  I am totally in love with him!!  I have been very happy with my outcome and he is a very skilled surgeon.
