Great progress! When it is all ahead of you it seems like so much to do. But as you go through it and more and more of the steps are behind you, you really feel a sense of accomplishment. I know my resolve got stronger and stronger as I went through the process.

Best Wishes!

Debbie

That's great news, Helen!!!!  Those 9 will be gone before you know it!!!

My psych eval was done by Dr. Harvey Gerwanter, across from Franklin Square Hospital.  The whole appt. lasted no longer than 30 minutes and I was given the green light by him.  He was really nice.  I had my sleep study done at FSHC also, but make no mistake about it, it SHOULD be called the "sleepless study."  Make sure you don't have anything important to do the next day, because you'll be tired!!!  LOL!!  The staff was great, as were the accommodations, but it's just really hard to sleep hooked up to so much.

Again, it's all a means to an end, and I know you're willing to do whatever it takes to get wls, so keep plugging along!!

As far as co-workers, nope, it's no one's business.  Actually, thanks to HIPAA laws, it's unlawful for your employer to question you about anything medical related.  I told VERY FEW of my co-workers, and later found out that my boss (??!!!!!) had shared details with others.  It's a personal decision, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Helen -

Keep in mind that your employer may need you to file paperwork to take leave, but your HR Department KNOWS they have to keep it confidential.

Dr. Harvey Gewanter - 410-686-9800

There's also Ranesa McNally - 410-602-0102

That I don't know, sorry.  But call your insurance company and see how much they're able to tell her should she question it.
