I was having an interesting conversation with a friend and we were discussing success and how we measure it...

So how do you measure your success in life???  Is it what you have, what you give...how much money's in the bank, how well respected you are in life.......??????

Personally I measure success by what I give.......not concerned about the money or the occupation, I measure my success in life by my friends and family.....they are what make me who I am and as much as money is great it can be very lonely cause it will never love me back, talk to you, take care of you etc.....

I often say that my friends define me....and I have pretty damn good friends LOL  I think it's very important to have good friends and if you have them that have your back and support you then I think you have a pretty successful life.

I'm with you, Jen!!!  My family and my true friends (my circle of trust) are what define me.

Our parents molded my brother and me into the good, strong, moral, decent people we are today.  We're passing that on to KB, who have also helped define me as a great role model.  I have no concerns at all for them - they are awesome kids who are sure to grow up into even more awesome adults.

I try to give without expecting ANYTHING in return, and have NO hidden agendas or motives.  For me, it's all about doing for those I love and care about!!!!

GLAD YOU'RE BACK!!

Tia

I think is a multi-dimenstional topic.

In life, I do feel that I feel successful based on the quality of the relationships in my life with family and friends, the way that we care about each other, enjoy each other and support each other.

In society, I feel success is based on how we contribute to the world no matter how small or big. This could include financial support, but I releally think it is the giving of ourselves to make the world a better place. I worry that I do not do enough of this.

At work, success is a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that I bring something valueable to the organization and that they respect and appreciate that contribution. It is not a title or the size of the paycheck, although those can be nice.
