Happy Tuesday All,

Happy birthday to Happy! Darla, I hope you feel better soon. I missed you in Pilates last night. April, your daughter just keeps on giving because your story brought a smile to me as well. Aaron, I am so glad you are haivng a better day. P.S. Some day we will have to compare notes on the job thing. I bet we have some similar experiences in the world of IT.

1 - Remembering my Mom - Yesterday was my Mom's birthday and I found myself thinking about her most of the day. She has been gone for many years now and in some ways much longer than that due to a long illness (a story for another day). We always seemed to butt heads. Still, I know that she always wanted the best for me. She made a number of sacrifices in her life for me. My weight was one of the things that she tried desparately to change. I hope she can be proud of me now for finally making some real progress on the issue.

2 - Had a lot of fun (am I crazy?) on the Pilates Reformer last night. We did some advanced positions for the first time. I can't believe some of the positions I had to get into in order to execute the stretches. WOW!  Some of them took some doing to get my body where it needed to be, but I am proud that I actually did them. It gives me a real sense of accomplishment.

3 - I have to agree that I love the Fall and I am glad that it is here. There is just something that is so invigorating about the weather. And I love the colors and holidays that are approaching.

Have a good day everyone!

Hey Deb!!!

As always, it was a joy to see you on Friday.  I'm thinking we need to do a weekly thing like that - paychecks allowing, of course!!

I've no doubt that your Mom is SOOOOOO proud of the changes you've made to better yourself and your quality of life.  I'm sure she's equally proud of the strong, caring woman that you are.  She has every reason to be!!

And yes, you are crazy - but in a good, gym rat kind of way!!

I'm psyched about the upcoming holidays, too!!!  Or is that psycho???

Hugs,

Tia

Thanks Tia! I enjoyed Friday too. How about at least once a month. I do this with several other circles of friends I have and it works out pretty well. If other activities happen to pop up some months where we see group members more often, so be it. Monthly allows for other things that are always going on.

I know what you mean about the holidays. I do love them. At the same time I get myself quite stressed and run-down trying to do everything. Still, I probably wouldn't change a thing!

Deb:

I missed last night at the gym :  I had vowed to go every day this week but Mother Nature
just isn't cooperating with me these last couple months.

I am sure your Mom can see what you have accomplished.  I know
my weight issues were always a concern for my parents and I am so glad
I finally did something about it.  Saturday night I spent a while on the dance
floor and later Mom told me how happy she was to see me out there with
all my brothers and my sister  - Mom and Dad have been a great support
system for me and I am so happy they lived to see me get a life LOL
I was just talking with my sister in law and we were talking about the
videoagrapher they hired at the last minute:  I saw the camera on me more then once
thru out the course of the night so we are all anxious to get a look at the video.
There are also a couple still shots of me dancing with my dad so I look forward
to seeing those as well.

Hoping to get to the gym tonight so maybe I will see you there.
