2 year BANDiversary thanks!

Yep, yesterday was my 2 year bandiversary and although I'm not at goal it's really only because of two things.  I probably could have been at goal by now had I not needed the unfill in March and then also gotten pregnant RIGHT after that, which made me NOT be able to be refilled to my sweet spot.  In the last 6 months I could have easily gotten rid of the last 50 pounds with a perfect fill level!  So, for now I'll patiently wait, let my band work to maintain my loss to date (it's obvious that it does because I'm gaining normal pregnancy weight - 11 pounds so far), have a great pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby girl, then make my fill appointment for 6 weeks after my c-section and get right back on the band pony!  By next summer I plan on being at goal and looking into having a tummy tuck.  That is the BEST thing about the band, time can pass and I can go without a fill (I'll ALWAYS have this tool, it won't go away and I can have adjustments for years from now), maintain, and then when the time is right I can go get one and start losing again.  This is the one hope I have for Floyd.  One day he'll wake up and decide to go get a fill and get back on the bandwagon.

Thank you all for the support and encouragement these past 2 years.  I've made many new friendships that without wls I never would have met.  The best one is being friends with myself.  While I've never had self esteem issues (I like who I am) I never really liked being fat, but WHO does?  And I was tired of being, well, TIRED!  I had my band surgery because I got tired of not being able to live LIFE (at least not without becoming winded, taking two types of insulin and two types bp meds) and so that I can be around a long time for my Kylie and now Lacie too.  The difference between pre-op and now is amazing.  I'm no longer diabetic, my bp meds are down to just one low dose pill a day (my heredity sucks!), I can get pregnant without a ton of fertility meds (even with an IUD!!!), I don't need to shop in the Plus size department, I can walk all the way up to Section 517 at M&T Stadium without stopping, sweating or getting winded on game day, my seatbelt doesn't LOCK on me in the car, I can ride amusement park rides, I can cross my legs, I can wear a bathing suit without worrying if anyone's looking at fat rolls, and the list can go on and on!  I'd never take back having surgery!!!  Now come on 6 weeks post c-section!  I want to get to goal!!!!

Hey Tia!!!! I'm back! I'm back! As I explained to Heather, I won't be able to drop in as much during the work day because of my boss, but I'm still here. Is there a get together in the works? -Antoinette

I'm doing well. I was sidelined with a Sinus infection, but now I'm back in the swing of things. I won't be able to hang out here during the day as much anymore (the boss...you know how that goes), but I'm still here...

ICK!  I had one earlier this year and it was SO hard to get rid of!  Glad you are back in the swing of things!  You thinking about coming to TGIF Friday night?
