HELP!!! I need a Dress!

I am at that borderline size... 14/16 Misses/Plus Ughhh!

I cannot find a dress that's stylish, young, flirty, clubby, South Beach Worthy!!!!!

I am going to South Beach, Miami next weekend for my college roommates 40th bday bash! (By the way... I'm younger, 37, sorry, had to get it in)

They are twins, boy/girl. He's one of those BEAUTIFUL South Beach Locals without an ounce of fat on his body! And she's a size 10 on a bad day!

Anyway... their bash is semi formal, leaning toward the casual/club style dress code, however it's black/white required.

So here I am... still without an outfit/dress. I've looked online, shopped Fashion Bug, Dots, Lane Bryant... I CANNOT Find anything!!!!!

Plus do I want to spend an arm & a leg on this if i'm not gonna fit in it by next month??? No... I don't!

Any suggestions??? Where do/did you shop during that in-between size???

Have you tried Rainbow? Oh I missed the black/white required. Let me think!!

Macy has this dress that is hip and young looking don't know if the 1X would fit.

Wow, that's really cute! And i'm sure that's a good pick for SB. But I'm Soooo top heavy, and very nervous of strapless. Not to mention, self consious of being bare up there. Nothing is tone yet ya know... But hubby and I are gonna go to Macy's tomorrow and see what they have. I am also gonna try some thrift stores just for the heck of it!

No dress yet, I'm going to Torrid tomorrow, gonna try there. And Curve Appeal in Millersville.

Also, my hair dresser said there is a Thrift store in Lake Shore, Pasadena that has tons of nice nearly new stuff. She said a lot of the wealthier people from down there and Gibson Island donate there so it's usually good stuff. ANd the store is size and color coded, so it's easy shopping. I'm gonna try it.

It's on Mountain Road near Lake SHore Drive. Can't remember which Thrif Store it is though. I'll figure it out when I get down there.

If you lived nearby, I'd let you go through my closet to find cute things to wear. I love fancy/dressy events, and have an assortment of stylish clothes for parties.

You'll LOVE South Beach. I was there in February, and had a blast. We were off of Collins Avenue, one block away from the oceanfront ,at the Kent Hotel. Be sure to go out and explore the different areas at night.....great music and great dancing.

We are staying at the Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel. Our agenda is packed for such a short trip. I don't think we even need the room, only to shower and change. I don't forsee sleeping in the weekend plans between the time we land and the time we fly back. Hope the plane ride is smooth, that's where we'll be sleeping!
Thank you for the offer to peruse your closet. Mine is all too big or way too small from my save this and some day collection!
I'll find something i'm sure!

Have you tried White House Black Market???? All the clothes are black and/or white and they have some really CUTE dresses!!!! Good luck and enjoy the new bod!!!
