Greeting from off shore of Grand Caymen

Well   Hurricane Ike is still affecting things -  The seas are too rough for
tenders to get us ashore so we will miss Grand Caymen:  We are now sailing
towards Cozumel Mexico

We get one extra day at  sea so they are revizing the daily events list.

We were going to parasail today but I reset the tour for mexico so we
shall try again tomorrow.  At least the weather is good for sunbathing.

Otherwise the trip has been wonderful ;  the food is incredible - just eating
a lot less of it LOL   Sugar alcohols are a ***** so even the sugarfree desserts
are to be eaten in very small amounts,

We walked a mile again this morning and at least got to see some of the Grand
Caymen as we did.  The waves are huge and I can well appreciate
them losing the island to cruise ships.

Love to you all ;  and Kathy and I are talking about a board cruise
in maybe spring of 2010  so start saving up everyone LOL  -  The
absolute only things that would have made this better would
have been to have all of you along as well.  It doesn't  have
to be a week long cruise    3-4 days are available,

Talk to you all more about it when we get home

Darla

LOL Ok we will shoot for looking at week long cruises : but in the winter spring time
I think :  this week has defintaly taught me no more September cruises.

It's a disappointment to have plans changed but when you think of the hardships
that have caused the problems in make the disappointment easier to bare.

Yesterday in Jamaica Mon they told us we were the first ship to stop there in a couple
weeks.  and that is like 80% of the income for the whole country - and Grand Caymens
ports have been closed since last week as well.    Today is going to be plenty of
trivia, bingo, sunbathing, eating and for me a trip to the hair dresser:  I so need to
get a style I can do myself :  This is the last formal night and I refuse to have pictures
taken without my hair done-  It looks so bad right now LOL  anyway I'm off to the
deck for some sun and a dip in the pool :  plus I have to find Kathy LOL -  I had lunch while she played another trivia game and we lost each other LOL -

Take care and I miss you ( and yes I mean that no fake and fluff here either )

Oooh! A cruise in 2010? By then, I'll be a size ..... healthy!

I hope you continue to enjoy your trip even if the waters are rough.

Well I guess an extra day for free makes sense considering Ike, so WOOHOO to a free day! lol  Sugar alcohols?  Um, can you say... PEUW!!!! lol  Lactitol is really the only one that gets me, still, it's miserable, but great if you have been constipated.  As for the hair, you gotta get a funky razor cut like mine and use hair glue so it won't move! LOL  Hurricane winds are no match for my glue!  I look forward to seeing pictures.  You and Kathy continue to have a great time!

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...

I like Heather's idea, a free day. But, actually it's a day free of off-ship activity. Meaning another at-sea day. I'm going with the flow, as Darla said. I do have to say it's boring. But, we're safe, our friends and families on the east coast are safe, we're having fun, and relaxing, so who can complain about that??

Thanks so much everyone for thinking of us. Be sure we are thinking of all of you! Like Darla said, we are going to try to plan something for our MD family. We want to share all this fun with those we love.  Think early Spring '10. This gives us 18 months or so to save, save, save!

Love and miss you all!

Darla, ,
I'm glad you're both going with the flow!  Yes pun intended, I'm a dork that way.  I hope to see your new hairdo soon and your gorgeous tans you've been cultivating with all that sunbathing!  I like the idea of a 2010 cruise, and I agree with Tia...7 days or forget it!  Enjoy and enjoy some more!  TTYL

Hi Darla,

I am so glad to read that you guys are having a great time. Glad you got the extra day.
Oh I would love to go on a cruise with you all.  Well we shall see.

I forgot to mention alcohol sugars mess me up all the time. lol

I can't wait to hear all about your cruise experience.

Love you!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
