Yeah, I know I'm not Jen.....so sue me!!!  Anyway, thought I'd do this for her since this topic recently came up to me.

If you know your friend likes/is attracted to/is dating someone, would you flirt with/date the object of desire?  Would you tell your friend if the object of desire approached you?

DISCUSS!

Me personally?  Nope, he'd be an untouchable.  I wouldn't do that to a friend - good friends are too hard to find.  Would I tell my friend?  Hmmm.....tough one.  I think first I'd tell HIM to back off, that she's my friend, and that I wouldn't do that to her.  Although, IMHO, TRUE friends have each others' backs, and I'd want to know myself.

Well, that's when you find out who your true friends are.  No - I would never do that, but as you know, it has been done to me and it tells a lot about the person's character that is doing it.  Nuff said.

personally I wouldn't touch the object of desire if my friend was interested.  It's truly distateful and bad form.  (really dirty line deleted........)

for me it depends on the definition of flirting.

I do kid around with EVERYONE - and it's been called flirting.  But - no - a friend's feelings are WAY more important to me than getting a man's attention.

If he approached me?  Well - it HAS happened and I made sure that I said something about it to him in front of my friend.  So...I guess that's my answer.

Tia - who you been messin with??

No one!!!!  I would NEVER, IN A MILLION, BAZILLION YEARS DO THAT TO A FRIEND.

It's hypothetical.  Well, not really, I found out it happened to a friend of mine.  The friend was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hurt by what the other friend did, and it made me think.  Yes, I do think, sometimes!!  LOL!!!

Has it happened to me??? No...
Would I be pissed...Hell yeah
Would I do it to my friend...Not intentionally
But....there are always 2 sides to every story and its not just one person (being friend) who is at fault. Things do happen.  It takes two to tango and I would definately listen to my friends side of things FIRST!!!
If something like this happened, then obviously what I thought I had with that person wasn't meant to be and they would be kicked to the curb quickly...

Would I still be consider that person my friend still???  I don't know. All depends if I feel their appology is sincere enough and truly meant.
But I would get over it and move on with my life with or without them.
True friendships go through their ups and downs and you may never forget, but there are times you can and should forgive.
