3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!

Morning everyone!!!!  Looks and feels like rain today!!!  Actually, it feels like a sauna.  ICK!!!  Come on, fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That even though I have a job and bosses who make me crazy, they are VERY understanding.  When Dad was ill, they told me to take all the time I needed, and this a.m., as I sat in traffic for no less than 1.5 hours, I knew I was going to be late and called.  They don't make me punch a clock, when I get in is when I get in - for which I am VERY grateful!!!

2.  Greek yogurt - God, I love this stuff!!!  And the best part?  Giant has it the Chobani brand on sale through Thursday - 10 for $10!!!  WOO-HOO!!! 

3.  That I'm beginning (finally) to let go some of my old insecurities.  As a sweet friend of mine pointed out, my "overthinking" is not nearly as bad as it was!!!!!

4.  That Darla and Kathy are having a blast on their cruise.  I'll be calling Darla's parents later to check in on them and make sure they're okay without her!!

1. For pain relief patches. I somehow have managed to sleep wrong and I have this HORRIBLE kink in my neck and I feel yucky. I brought one of those patchy things to work and have slapped it on my neck and eventhough I smell like menthol....lol I feel much better hahaha

2. For a glimpse of the future, several months ago the walk up the stairs to my job exhuasted me. Now with working with a personal trainer and doing some additional cardio three days a week, still at 300+ lbs I can go up those stairs much easier! Cant wait till I see how easliy I can RUN up them 100lbs lighter

3. For dreams being SIMPLY dreams. I know this is a silly one...BUT.... I had a dream last night I had my RNY and I was not drinking water and just wasnt eating cause I wasnt hungry so I wasnt getting my protein and then when I did eat I *forgot* I had the RNY and was eating chicken strips!! I know..I know a stupid dream, but it had me all frazzeled!! I think cause I am a perfectionist so I am so worried I wont do exactly as the doctor orders after surgery and it is causing me anxiety..lol So thank goodness it was just a dream and I still have a chance to be a star patient. lol

Hey April!

I must've given you MY stiff neck!!  I slept with a pain patch on the other night, and you're right, they do help!

I bet one day, you'll run up the steps without actually realizing you've done it!  That's how a lot of our wls WOW moments happen!!

Honey, talk about dreams - wait until you take the liquid pain meds once you're home!!!  Wooo, the stories I could tell you!!!

You've done SUCH a great job pre-op, I can only imagine your success post-op!!

The day I can run up the stairs I live for. I hate walking up them now and then someone asks me a questions so I stand there panting trying to talk to them...HOW EMBARRASING!!

Thanks so much Tia!! I have tried very hard to get as healthy as possible before surgery!

Morning All:

1.  That we weathered Ike and the weather today is BEAUTIFUL

2.  That I have already been to the gym and walked on the Wavemill  LOL Yesterday
was funny :  Kathy swears our hips got a workout just trying to stay on the things

3.  That my family and friends back home are doing well  - My cell bill will be high
but I talked with Dad yesterday ( he called ) and I checked in again hoping to catch
Mom this AM but missed her by a few minutes 


4./  For WLS :   15 months ago I would never have had all this fun on a cruise

5.  That there are plenty of activities on board LOL we are actually having trouble fitting
everything in

Hi honey!!!

OMG!!!  LOL!!!  I WISH someone had captured the two of you on the Wavemills yesterday!!!  That must've been hilarious!!

Kudos to you for even THINKING of exercising while you're on vacay!!!  I know it goes against your religion, but if you have to forego some wavemill time to cram more things in during your day, by all means, you have our blessings!!!!  Don't miss a thing!!!

I WILL be on the next cruise with you!!!

this week has sucked cuz of work. my new boss wants me to write a proposal but i don't really know what i'm doing. not cuz i don't know how to write proposals but the proposal is on something that even he doesn't completely know how we are going to do it. things just suck but i'm hanging in there. i decided no more caffeine and alcohol. i may do one glass of wine once a week. but that is it. i spent almost 400 dollars last month on junk food and alcohol. i am going to be rich if i just stop spending it on junk

1. i won't be at work for two days starting tomorrow. i want my boss to do this himself and i'll just tweak it. he's giving me too much too fast.
2. i'm doing well and staying on plan.
3. i exercised yesterday and should swim tonight if they don't close the pool cuz of lightening.

Hey Nic!!

Good luck tomorrow!!  Call me and let me know how it goes.  I'm sure you'll do fine!!!

You know, instead of spending the $400 on junk food and alcohol, MAYBE you could open up a special savings account - each time you "resist" whatever you think is "bad behavior," put the $$ you'd normally spend into this account!!  After a month or two or even six - take it out and spend it on something wonderful for yourself (or a friend - LOL!).  Hell, at $400 a month, you could buy yourself (or a friend) a REALLY nice gift or take a trip - anything to help you celebrate!!!  This way, it turns a negative into a positive!!

Just a thought!!
