Vitamins
Hi Bridgette!!!
It depends. What type is your surgeon recommending? Some surgeons recommend Flintstone chewables, others specifically want their patients to take special bariatric vitamins, in which case it'd probably be cheaper online, and yet others say liquid Centrum is fine. If you haven't had your last pre-op with the surgeon and his staff, I'd say wait for that, because at that time, you should get all the info you need. And just for the record - liquid Centrum is HEINOUS. But don't worry, you'll eventually be able to swallow pills again.
The next 3 weeks are gonna fly!!!!
Good luck,
Tia

I think that vitamins seems to be the most controversial topic on here... not meaning controversial as a negative. Rather, it seems to be the one topic that many different doctors have many different opinions regarding. I've also noticed that its probably the one thing that people tend to make their own decisions about most often rather than necessarily doing what their doctors want. The fact is... they are expensive and people want a cheaper option that the ones sold specificially for bariatric patients. I can't blame them for cutting that corner if their blood work is coming back great.
