Thanks, Jilly!!!  I just got that, too - UGH!!!!

I'm not too worried for myself and my parents, although we live about two blocks away from the water, it would have to be PRETTTTY high to reach us.  But my aunt's home in Watersedge in Dundalk was DESTROYED by Isabel in 2003, so as far as I'm concerned, this storm can go right back to where it came!!!!!

Stay safe & dry tomorrow!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh nooo!!! Did your Aunt stay there? Can she stay with someone if need be this weekend? That is just awful that she went through that with Isable. People here in Pasadena lost a lot of their homes with Isabel too, it was rough!
Im in Pasadena but NOT near water although our roads flood like CRAZY! LOL I feel we will be okay and just pray the power stays on! I am too high maintenance to lose power! hehehehehe KIDDING! Have a great weekend ~Jilly~

Actually, her neighbors, whose house was about a foot higher than hers and only sustained minimal damage, moved her right into their house for the next several months.  She moved back into hers once there was heat, etc.  It was SUCH a mess.  Since she lives close to Sparrows Point, the water was filthy and filled with all kinds of disgusting stuff and creatures.  And it damaged EVERYTHING it touched, and OMG! the smell was horrible.  Fortunately, she WAS able to rebuild better, but not before having to shell out $20K past what insurance would cover.  What a nightmare!!  I think I'd have to commit her if something happened again.  But actually, I just called her and she's fine - she said she'll worry if she reads about a 7' storm surge (Isabel had a 10') and tidal flooding.  Other than that, she's good, so cross your fingers!!!

I view a power outage as a chance to nap, so I say - bring it on!!!  LOL!!!

That does sound like a nightmare. I feel so bad for people who live through that stuff. It takes a toll on a person. I hope she escapes all that junk this hurricane season because its gonna be a BAD one.
A chance to nap? LOL What is that? It sounds good! LOLOL I have 7 daycare kids here in the same room as me now all sound asleep. Classical music is playing on the TV and you dont know how bad I want someone to come in and tell me its time for me to take a nap. LOLOLOLOL ~Jilly~

Hey Jilly:
Thanks for the post.  I hope we don't get it too bad here, but all of Dorchester County is under sea level, so even though I live on the "high" end, it's still prone to flooding.  Isabel was terrible down here too, many people lost everything.  Fortunately for me, I was living in Frederick county at that time.  Let's pray for the best!
