For Hanna right now and Ike who may be on the way!   What are you planning this weekend to be prepared in the event of horrible weather?

I am planning to make sure I have some non persible food I can eat incase the power goes out.    Have plenty of water in that will last for three days.  Filling an ice chest with ice.   Making sure I have flashlights that work with candles for each room.

Livng on Kent Island the power always goes out. I am also electrically charging my cell phone today- I usually forget.

Hope everyone stays safe!!

Stay safe Terri.  I plan on staying in and reading "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies."  We here in Waldorf are somewhat fortunate that when the lights go out they don't stay out for more than a few hours.  I pray we all stay safe.

Well, I hope everyone stays safe.  We lose power a lot when it storms, too, but I won't know it as I have a party to go to tomorrow.  Heck of a day for a party - but at least it's inside!!!

As far as food and water, well, we ALWAYS have tons of bottled water, and let's just say that our pantry does NOT resemble Mother Hubbard's.  As long as we have a manual can opener, we'll be fine.

I'm not sure if they're calling for thunder, though, and I'm thinking that I should call the vets because Happy freaks during storms.

Thanks for making us thing about being prepared!!!

UGH, I have to go to the store for some things tonight, I am NOT looking forward to it!  Unfortunately I have to wait until Dave gets home to drive me there. Although I was pretty tempted to just drive myself this afternoon when the stores shouldn't be as bad.   I honestly had not been paying attention to the weather/news this past week and had no idea until yesterday that it was heading our way.  Otherwise I would have been better prepared.

I made sure all of our towels are washed because we will go through them like crazy with the dogs going in and out.  This is one of the times that I wish I didn't have dogs that LOVE water.

Stay safe everyone!

Tina -

Aren't you allowed to drive yet?  I drove when I was about 5 days post-op, the only restriction was that I not drive as long as I wasn't taking the pain meds.

Well, whatever you decide, drive safely, because you know what weather does to Maryland drivers!!

I was told no driving for 2 weeks.  But there is a grocery store that takes me 2 minutes tops to get to so I'm sure I would be ok.

You mean to tell me I have been GOOD for no reason??

Does this mean I don't have to listen to the part about no sex for 2 weeks too??

I'd say as long as you're not on pain meds.....it's ok to drive......now I wouldn't go cross country driving LOL  the most I went was 2 miles (to the grocery store and back) and no problems.

As for the sex...well I dunno how it is with women........I know I was taking matters into my own hands once I got everyone out of my house that was staying with me  LOL  (I know TMI)
