Posting on the Maryland Board
I've been crazy busy at work as well, working long hours and spending even longer hours sitting in traffic for the Bay Bridge. By the time I get home, feed dogs, feed my DH and myself, it's time for bed. Looking sooo forward to 07 October after which I don't have to worry about work and traffic for TWO MONTHS!!!!

I have been anticipating my WLS since I decided to do it, for over a year and a half ago! I have been obsessing about it by being on OH a lot during my free time, but as it draws near, I am starting to wig out a little. Today I took inventory of all my protein shakes and liquid soft foods, my chewable vitamins for the first 4 weeks...I already have a supply of Citracal Chews that I bought before they stopped selling them. I still need to buy a container of bariatric advantage multi and iron, and for DS, ADEK dry chewables. ...Just making a list now here. LOL.
You are so lucky to get 2 months off work.

I do not have any paid vacation right now, so I'm just taking 2 weeks off at first. if I need more time, I'll take it, but the longer I stay home, the less money I'll have to pay the bills so I'm a bit stressed over that. It'll be worth it in the end.

I guess it's a mixed blessing being so busy because I've had very little free time to obsess, because believe me...I would be! I think about it at least once a day but then that thought gets pushed out by the stressors of work.
As far as the 2 months...that's what I'm going with for recovery time for ME...it's all paid disability. I'm lucky, with my company we earn it per pay period and I'm up to about 16 weeks worth. I don't have alot of vacation time built up either and if I had to take time off without pay I just wouldn't be able to do it. Living paycheck to paycheck sux!

don't laugh.... i head over here everyday, but the posting levels have been so slow that i haven't wanted my name to the last one that posted on every thread, so i've just been posting a lot less.

{{{{Tia's Dad}}}} I'm THRILLED to hear that things are going better for him. I hope that the results of his scan show improvement, and offer hope for a full recovery.
I'm glad to have you here, and I treasure your friendship. But, your parents and certainly KB are your priority, as well as yourself. Your health, happiness and not least your sanity should be considered at all times. So, if you put our little board family on the back burner for a few days, while you will be missed, it is certainly understood. We are all adults (at least chronologically, lol) and we can have conversations, and start topics. They might not be as fun, but we can do this.
