My doctors office submitted to my insurance for approval for my surgery last Tuesday. When do you think would be a good amount of time to wait and when should I try calling for an update? Should I call my doctor's office or my insurance?

I would call the insurance carrier on Tuesday!!
I know many insurance take a few weeks to approve and some very quickly like mine in 3 days.
Good luck and I hope you get your approval asap!

Hi Trinity,
I would call both the surgeon's office and the insurance company. This is what most do, after giving the surgeons office a week to get the documents faxed over. Then call every week or three days.
