Does anyone know if Dr. Schweitzer does RNY to BPD-DS revision?

Hello everyone. I've been trying to find a surgeon on the East Coast that does revision from RNY to a full BPD-DS, of the ones that do revision most seem to only do a partial revision. I've called Dr. Schweitzer's office and emailed but still don't know the answer.   I thought someone here may know the answer...anyone??   And of course if you have any recommendations for a different surgeon in the please let me know!! I live in NC.

I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure that he does.  He normally responds to Emails quickly and later at night (was my experience).  I don't think you could find a better surgeon to handle that.  I am pretty sure that there was a person on this board (or the DS board) that was having him do a revision from RNY to DS and when he got in there, had to make some adjustments because what the patient thought she had done previously, wasn't what he found. (Confusing, I know, sorry). I think she might have ended up with a distal RNY, not sure. Anyway, try this question on the DS board as well.  Good Luck!!   C

Yes, he does do revision surgeries. Emal him at [email protected] and ask him directly.  He responds to emails but it tales a while sometimes.
