Glad to hear you are home and doing well. No you have me scared about the drain part. Nobody will really say anything about that.

Christy, I have seen a variety of opinions on the drain. All I can say is it did not hurt for me at all. I still did not like it as mine leaked. My MD left in in for a week post-surgery. I changed the dressing around it regularly, but still got soaked. I found it a nuisance and was glad to get rid of it.

Don't worry too much about the drain. For me it was painful when it was taken out, but not to the point that I was crying or anything. And it was very brief. You'll do just fine!
