I'm home!
I came home yesterday late afternoon, it took FOREVER to get out of there, Dr. Singh told us around 1 that I could go but it was almost 4 by the time they unhooked me from everything and wheeled me downstairs. I'm doing pretty well. I last about 2 hours awake before
I find myself needing to sleep again. The pain, really none when I am sitting or lying down, only when I try to get up and down does it hurt but Dave is wonderful about helping me and I take my pain meds every 4 hours. (probably why I keep falling asleep). All the incisions are starting to ITCH, which I know is a good thing, because it means they are healing. Honestly the worse part of the entire thing was when they removed the drain tube yesterday. OMG I don't want to repeat
that! It was so nice to be home in my own bed last night & not getting woken up every 2 hours to check this or that or give me various medicines. So far, I have been tolerating everything that
I've tried, which really has only been lots of liquids, cream of wheat and pureed chicken.
Dave has been awesome in taking care of me, he's been at my beck and call. He keeps compaining though that I keep dropping stuff on the floor so he has to bend over and pick it up. I have no idea what he is talking about.
