3 Things for FRIDAY
1. The long weekend: need it to get things together for # 2
2. Vacation is now just 1 week AWAY ( Please everyone: pray the hurricanes are
over with sometime in the next week )
3. For DVD players, coloring books and markers: Babysat for Heather last night
and Kylie was a joy to watch. Have not colored in years and Kylie and I had a
great time watching movies and coloring in her sea-animal coloring book.
So have a wonderful Weekend everyone and stay safe.

For today:
1 - Sleep - I finally "hit the wall" yesterday. I was exhausted. I got 9 hours of sleep last night, which I sorely needed. I am so happy to have the long weekend to try and recharge my batteries some more. Even though I have a number of plans, the pace should still allow me to do this for myself.
2 - Realizing how blessed I really am - This weekend I will be volunteering for the MDA Telethon (see my separate OT post). During this event, I am humbled to be reminded about how blessed I really am. It kind of puts all of my ordinary woes and complaints into perspective.
3 - TGIF! Thank goodness it is payday! Thank goodness for a long weekend! Yeee-Haaaa!

My three things:
1. It's raining!! Our grass is brown. This should help. Also, I sleep sooooo well in rainy weather and I have to work tonight so this will be great sleeping weather.
2. Chick-fil-a Diet lemonade. So tasty!!
3. I am blessed with a great family and friends.
Thanks for being so great!!

2. Tomorrow we take the trailer to Richmond for the Race next weekend!! Can't wait, gotta love those NASCAR boys!!

3. It's a nice long weekend and I don't have to back to work in DC till Wednesday because I telework on Tuesdays too!!

Didn't realize you were a NASCAR fan! We have never been to Richmond, but have been going to Charlotte in May & October since 1999 (well . October only since 2001). We are taking the RV to Tybee Island GA 9/18-22 and coming back through Charlotte and storing the RV for two weeks until we pick it up for the LMS races in October.
Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Yep we go to Richmond for both races, it's a new tradition now that we got the RV couple years ago. It's great because it's close. RV parking is only $150, you drop it off the week before to reserve your spot and go back the following Friday or before if you want and camp for the race. Where do you park it for the Charlotte race, we'd love to expand our trips.
Enjoy your upcoming trip it sounds like fun.
We have a seasonal spot at the Fleetwood Camping Resort at LMS. They are the full hookup sites on track property (not the infield) and very pricey. We are anxious to see what they are going to do with us because the section we were in was torn up with the entrance for the new drag strip. We may be looking for a new campground. There are a few other places close that have full hookups but Fleetwood is so convenient. We have been there since May 2000 and in the same spot since 2001. We spend 12 days in May and 9 days in October so we really like having full hookups so not as to have to deal with water refills and having the tanks pumped.
We have been to Dover a couple of times. Drove back and forth once and the 2nd time drove right from LMS to Dover parked the rig and came home for a few days and went back. If we were not going to Tybee Island we would be doing Dover in September.
We've also been to the night race in Bristol (2000) and Pocono in 2001.

1) it's Friday and I'm off today to get ready for the weekend trip
2) that even though I could sleep in, I didn't 'abuse' that and got up a little before 6 and have already washed and folded 2 loads of laundry and have a 3rd in the dryer. Getting ready to put another in while I run to Sam's club to do the shopping for the weekend
3) The upcoming weekend and spending time with my sister. We are close but don't spend nearly enough sister time together
