dont know if i can handle it

The experiences for recovery do vary greatly from person to person. I too have heard of some who had a challenging time as they recovered. For me, I felt great and rarely had any issues with nausea. Occaisionally I would have problems if I ate too fast or sometimes when I tried something new that just did not agree with me. I think it is good that your MD can discuss this with you in more detail. i am sure he will have the statistics on the frequency of the various problems patients can encounter.
I have a friend on another board who is constantly sick all the time. Can't hold much down and always gets the foamies. He's having to start his regiment all over again (like an extended 5 day pouch test). He may have a stricture or something along those lines but just like Debbie said, everyone's different. I only get sick if I eat something the wrong way or it is the wrong thing to eat. Otherwise I am perfectly fine and was actually feeling grat when I left the hospital. So not everyone goes through that :)
