OT: strange phone call?
Okay, there was a call here earlier and it was the strangest thing, on the caller ID it said, unknown name, and the number was 999-999-9999 . I googled it and came up with some strange stuff but it seems basically a lot of companies use this number to block who they are? I am going to put it on the do not call complaint list since I am on the do not call list.....

if it's a company that you have any business with at all (a utility, a financial services company, a collector, etc.) they can contact you regardless of having a do no call block on your phone. many non-profits may also call. if you're on do not call and you're getting this call, chances are, they are allowed to contact you and you're probably wasting your time.

my mortgage company is constantly calling trying to sell us insurance and credit cards. drives me nuts. they use the 9's also.
