The weekend.

First let me start by saying I am so sad that I missed Aaron's "21st" birthday party.  It looked like so much fun and you all looked FANTASTIC!!!!!!  I loved the pictures, it was so nice to see everyone together.  I can't wait until the 5K.  I know a bunch of you are going to be there.  I am so looking forward to it.

Aaron, love the new threads.  Looking good dude!

I attended my husbands 25 year reunion.  We had a really nice time.  For once I attended a "function" and I was not the largest person there.  In fact I was on of the smallest.  I watched what I ate.  I did have a couple of glasses of wine during the 3 days and came home without gaining a single pound.

I got to dance "a lot" and was not winded.  I can't tell you the last time that happened.  My husband, who was very involved in school, class president, soccer team, basketball team, national honor society......the list goes on, was very involved in school and this function was a pretty popular guy at the reunion.  Anyway, let me just say my main goal in school was to get out and I have not attended a single reunion.  So, when my husband had me on the dance floor and sang "Always and Forever" to me it was an odd feeling.  I know I was grinning like a fool and the entire class was watching us (we were the only ones on the dance floor.  I'm not sure if embarrassed is the right word because I was so focused on him but, I have never had attention like this before.  So weird.  I have always just tried to keep myself out of the spotlight.

My husband thought I looked great and he is so very proud of me.  So, the days when I don't feel like I am such a great person all I need to do is look at him and know he is behind me and is there to support me.  In his words, he "is so lucky" to have me.  Man do I love him and his bald head!

Here is a picture my husband took of me before we met some classmates prior to the reunion.

Kim, All I can say is WOW.  Wow at your wonderful husband who can express his adoration of you in front of a huge crowd, and WOW for you having lost all your excess weight and looking absolutely gorgeous in this photo!

Jennifer,

Thank you so much.  I really am not much of a large crowd kind of person but it was totally tolerable with Dan.

I do have to say that it helped that I was not carrying around the weight I was 18 months ago.

So happy you had such a wonderful time at the reunion.   You look absolutely beautiful!!   It sounds like you have a relationship with your husband that most would only dream of, you both are very fortunate and should treasure each moments.

Yes, I am lucky to have such a good relationship with him.  We were set up on a blind lunch date and I told him during the middle of the date that he was not "my type".  Anyway, by the end of lunch he walked me to my car and asked when we could "go out again"  I'm thinking, did he not hear me tell him is not my type.  I told him he could call.  I then had a sit down with my friend of 20 years and she said "maybe you don't know what your type is."  Turns out she was right.

He has been my rock.
