Update on Gino
We can't thank everyone enough for all the support. You are all such great people!
Aime Gino was so shocked to see you at the hospital. You really made him happy!! Thank you for taking the time to check on him the day of his surgery. ((((((HUGS))))))
Yesterday when I went to pick him up they told us that he couldn't go home until he had 3 bags full of potassium because it was too low. We didn't leave until 5:30pm
The ride home was uneventful it took us about an hour and a half since I didn't want to be hitting any bumps and stuff.
This morning he woke up to a lot pain because he didn't take the pain med in the middle of the night. he was catching up on some zzzzzz's that he didn't have during his stay at the hospital.
He is now resting comfortably and before he went to sleep he was telling what weight he wanted to reach. I told him I wanted him healthy not to be a skinny little rail. lol
So listen to this.............................................................
DVR stopped him from taking "5" pills already!! Can you believe that? When he told me that I started to cry with happiness! It is freaking amazing. I never thought that he would only have 4 so soon after surgery!
Again thank you all for all the wonderful support! MD Forum ROCKS!
Hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!

Thanks for the update on Gino.. It is great that the rewards of taking this major step are being realized so soon. I always found each reward as motivation to keep going forward. It also validated my deicison to do this. So, I hope Gino continues to recover well with each passing day and that you both continue to enjoy the lives you have built together, now more healthy than ever!
