How long...
Hi Sandi,
I was losing a lot of hair up until 8 months. I took Biotin all along and it helped with the regrowth.
I am now losing hair again but I had not been keeping up with my protein so it got bad. I am now keeping my protein up and taking biotin still. it is slowing down now.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Hi Sandi!!!!
Now that I've stopped laughing.........................giggle.......................snort.........I'll answer this. Although I will say that when you said, "everything my head touches," Aaron wondered how you got your head THERE!!!!!
Thanks for being a good sport about that!!!
Anyway, I had really thin hair, and had heard about the possibility of hair loss, but frankly, I didn't care as long as there was WEIGHT LOSS!!! I started losing hair at about month 3-4, and I guess it continued for 3-4 months. I did try Biotin, but it didn't help, but I didn't bother with Nioxin or anything else like that. The doctors all say it's from not getting enough protein, but I was THE most compliant patient in terms of protein intake, ALWAYS focusing on that first. But I still lost hair, and I think it was just the effects of the surgery itself, not the malabsorption. I did try the Pantene Restoratives line, they have a spray in strengthener, I think it's called, and it seemed to help. Now, I'm back to regular Pantene, and I use the "daily moisture renewal" formula. My hair's in better shape now than before surgery.
So don't fear, you won't go bald, and look at it like I did - I'd rather be thinner with thin hair than fatter with fat hair!!!
Hang in there!!!
Tia
