How long...
does the shedding last. I started around the 4 month mark, and it doesn't show any signs of stopping. Luckily I had really thich hair to begin with, so it's not very noticeable except in the shower, on my towel, in my brush...basically everything my head touches! I've upped my protein, hoping it would help, but nope. And why is it only the hair on the head...life would be so much easier if it got rid of the hair elsewhere!

They tell me it comes back after the first year. This has been something of a major concern for me, since my hair was quite thin to begin with and it is NOTICEABLE on me. In an effort to help my hair and nails, I have been taking the supplement BIOTIN for the last several months. They say that takes time to work as well. My stylist at my last appointment said she thought it was beginning to work, but I am not so sure. So I am trying to be patient, especially since those who have been post surg longer than me assure me it will return. Sigh!
Hi Sandi,
My hair started falling out about 3 months out and contined for a few months. The good news is that my hair has come back thicker and healthier than it was pre-op.
Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
