If he is a man, then yes, it probably is too much to ask.   But at least you have a beautiful Golden to make up for it!

I agree with Sweetbea!
Sorry you have to go through that.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Char,

I live in a house full of males so I am probably not the right person to ask but, I feel your pain.

i am one spoiled lady.  my hubby is cleaning up the dinner that he made and doing the dishes while i sit here and post on the boards.  in about ten minutes he will be in here asking me if i want some fruit.  don't get me wrong.. he has his faults, but domestically, he's a god.  don't gag and don't hate me... but i've never used my washer and dryer.  he seriously does all the laundry.  he LIKES doing it.

I'm the same way with laundry Pamela, I rarely do it. My SO is great about doing the laundry while I do all the cooking.  But I'm with you on the dishes Char. That is one thing that he is not good about & it drives me nuts. Especially if he comes home early for work and they are still sitting there.   But I usually bite my tongue because he really does pull his weight around here.

oh, there's a downside to his insistence on doing the dishes.  he's kind of fanatical about loading the dishwasher a certain way.  when i load it, he actually goes behind me and reloads it.  and if he doesn't think it's full enough (room for another glass or two), he doesn't always run it.  i hate when i look for my bullet cups or something and they're dirty in the dishwasher because it wasn't run the night before.  i try not to complain because he does so much around here, but it's hard to ignore pet peeves.

LOL!  Dave is the same way when he does do the dishes.  It irritates me to no end when I'm loading the dishwasher and he comes up behind me and starts rearranging it.

I feel your pain, Char.  I came home this evening to find a dirty plate and a dirt glass in the sink.  My husband was home for lunch and left his mess for me to clean up, knowing full well I HATE dirty dishes left in the sink.

But I guess it all works out in the end, because he faithfully does every single bit of maintenance on my truck, he mows the lawn (all two acres of it!), and he just gave our son a bath.  He puts in his share in maintaining the house in other ways, but I still wish that he'd wash his damn dirty dishes.

Hopefully he at least made you a nice cold drink after you had to walk all that way in this heat.
