I need some exercise advice :   I broke my toe this morning;  I know all i can do is tape
it and take tylanol for the pain :  My question is this:  How should I chnage my exercise routine?
I usually do about an hour on the treadmill  3-4 times a week and take a couple
water classes -  should I change this routine at all?

Keep in mind vacation is now 3 weeks away =( .  Could not possibly
have timed this any worse.

A COUPLE DAYS OF ICE AND KEEPING OFF OF IT AND I WILL BE FINE

I don't think you can do the treadmill until your toe heals.  You need to get it checked out by the dr and have him advise you on what you should do until it heals. You definitely do not need a crooked or arthritic toe if you don't take care of it the correct way.

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Darla,

I broke my toe getting ready for work one day.  There was nothing I could do but "buddy wrap" it.  It had to be taped to the one next to it.  Otherewise there was nothing that could be done.  I knew I broke it and just taped it when I got to work that night.  My foot was black and blue for a good two weeks.  I broke my toe 4 days before my RNY surgery.  So luckily it was my last day of work and I was able to not stress it so much.  But, taping it really made it feel SOOO much better.

Oh wow Darla!!!  Sorry to hear about your toe!!  I too think that the treadmill would be out the question and that swimming would be a better choice.  Hope it heals soon!

Teri
