How long in hospital?

I am going to a consultation at the end of the month with Dr. Singh for lap band surgery. I know I will find this out then but just wondering if I have to stay overnight or not? Also-cross your fingers for my insurance approval...I am describing this surgery as the life preserver I need to save my life!!!

I didn't have the band, I had the RNY, but I was in for 2 nights. I could have gone after one night, but I wasn't peeing enough, so they kept me one more night to make sure all was okay. Good luck with the insurance...you have to be persistant, and if necessary, a little mean.

Hi!!! I too had RNY and I stayed two nights and also for not urinating enough. But for Lapband, I was told you would go home the same day unless there was some complications. Hopefully someone who had lapband will post for you soon! Ohhhhh and my fingers are crossed for your approval.
