just something...
this has been a very stressful day for me, also a bad eating day, but I was looking at different people on dr. averbach's OH forum and i says, hoping to have surgery, have a date, post op, etc....and I got depressed when I got to my name, where it says hoping to have surgery....I know, I know, it will happen but feeling kind of down tonight...sigh...
Baby we have all been there, all you can do is breath, THEN you need to start thinking positive. This is a fight. You fight to have the weight off, you fight to get the surgery appoved and then you fight again when you are approved. You are doing wonderful thus far. Keep the faith, this will all pan out. If you hit a bump in the road give it a day or two and then it is time to refocus and get back on your feet. You can do this, I have FAITH in you! Be Strong and let me know if I can help.
Hugs Kristen

Don't stress! Please don't feel down. Don't allow yourself to take away from all that you accomplished so far. Each of us that is post-op was where you are at one point in our journey too. I freaked at different times too. I think I had a group on this very board that was ready to come hunt me down and put me out of my misery when I was very impatiently waiting 30 days between insurance submittal and approval.
You might try keeping a journal of your accomplishments on your journey (you'll appreciate it later, if you are a scrapbooker). So, you can look and see where you have come from. Each appointment with your nut brings you closer to surgery. Each test or diagnostic procedure you complete on your list brings you one step closer too. That was something my therapist pointed out to me each time I saw her, during the time I was awaiting approval. Eventually, I got my date, and the time flew by so fast, I couldn't hardly believe it. I actually LOL'd in the hospital, when I woke up in the recovery room, and remembered how I was stressed out over that approval delay. I thought, how silly of me to waste my time stressing, when I knew my surgery day would come around eventually. I was really lucky that I only had to do 3 months supervised diet for my approval. So, I know I had it easy compared to those of you that have to do 6. But, I do know the stress, and I can truly say now, looking back, it wasn't as bad as it seemed at the time.
Hope this makes sense, and helps a little. Keep thinking positively, and focus on your goal, but without forgetting all the great things you've accomplished so far.
