Happy happy birthday and what wonderful news!!!!! I am so happy for you! BTW has either you or your mom looked into the Cancer Institutes of America? The closest one to MD is in Philly and my dad called them today to find out more information about what they can to for him. It's a thought. It's my understanding that they are cutting edge when it comes to cancer and the treatments out there and ones we don't even really know about yet. Take care and have a wonderful day!

Heather.Thanks for the info. And yes my mom did try to contact them, but, they don't take her insurance. It would have been since she lives in NJ and is at the University of Penn right now.

Hey Gina,
You are welcome! Sounds like she is getting great care where she is and that's all that matters. My dad called them and the earliest appointment he can get is in THREE AND A HALF MONTHS!!!! OMG! I told him to take it anyways, do the other treatments he is doing and if he decides to cancel then he can but at least he'll be on the list. They told him that Chicago had an opening in 6 weeks to be seen but that's a lot further and he has a hard time traveling now. Keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers. I hope she's home and doing well.
