3+ THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY
Happy to hear Dad is back home. It may be slow going but I am sure he will make those changes he needs to make.
for today ...
1) Lefty is hanging in there. He was waiting at the door for Mr Mo last night (REALLY unusual behavior for him) and then again when I got home a bit later. I tricked him into drinking some water this morning .. put some ice in his water bowl and he was fascinated by chasing the ice around with his nose and tongue!!! We will probably be back to the vet tomorrow or Friday for more fluid IV's for him. I am not going to spend money for bloodwork .. I know that at almost 18 his days are numbered but I do want to try to make him as comfortable as possible and as long as he is alert and responsive I can't/won't be able to let him go.
2) My circle of friends who have been so supportive while I deal with my sadness over Lefty
3) Everything else in my life!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
I'm NOT so sure Dad will make the changes, but he knows he needs to! Time will tell.
I already said everything in an email about Lefty, but just know that I'm here for you. Just a phone call away!!
To put a smile on your face, remember my list of potential candidates!!! LOL!!!
Hugs,
Tia
