The end of december will be the end of your 6 months.  are you going to your pcp for them to record your monthly weight????  you may want to check with dr averbach's office and your insurance to make sure you don't need verification from your pcp also.  don't want anything delaying the start of the new you....good luck

Hi Char

That would mean you would finish your 6 month WL the end of December. Then Dr. A's office would submit the paperwork for you to get an approval of course pending you completed the physcological eval and nutritionist.  I would check with them and see if you could get your phsyc eval and nutritionist eval the last month of your 6 month weight loss program that way they can submit it all to the insurance company and schedule your surgery in January that way you could probably get a Jan date or Feb date for surgery.

Hope this makes sense

Terri

Hi Char,
Be sure that you have a weight recorded in writing at least once in each calendar month, or many insurances would say that it wasn't 6 consecutive months.  That happened to me and delayed me by another 6 months.  Here's hoping you get approved in Dec and scheduled after the holidays!

I just finished my 6th month yesterday, turned everything into Dr. A's office this morning.  So I'm ready to go to insurance now.  I'm so hoping I get approved and can get my surgery in Oct, early Oct.

Good luck in your 6 months!
