TUESDAY EXERCISE
Good morning Maryland,
I must start this morning by saying how impressed I was with the activity level on this board yesterday. Terri made a post about how dead its been lately and I agreed. Then, all of a sudden..... BAM!!! There were topics galore! Like we all know, support is extremely important. I'm thinking about getting the chatroom going soon, maybe like 7 or 8 pm each night. All you have to do is click on chatroom on the left hand column of this page and it will take you to our very own Maryland chatroom. I'm unavailable tonight and tomorrow, but starting Thursday I think I'm going to attempt to get that going.
Anyway, I'm so glad to hear that many of you actually look forward to a good swift kick in the glutius maximus (did I spell that right?) when it comes to exercise. I got back on track yesterday, finished day 1 of the 5 DPT and am looking forward to a nice 3 mile run on the treadmill today. Like I said, I'm looking to progress each day this week. You should be, too.
What's on your agenda today?

I plan to simply repeat what I did yesterday. Right now consistensy is in order for me! So an hour on the treadmill (I got up to 4mph last night for the first time!) and the weight circuit.
P.S. I find the idea of a chat room interesting, but I am rarely home by that time. So I may check it out in the future, depending on my schedule.

I am on Day 16 of a 30/30 challenge I issued to myself (30 gym visits in 30 days). So I plan to visit the gym right after work and walk on the treadmill for 1hr or 3 miles. Thanks Andy for bringing back this thread. Have a great day everyone!!! -Antoinette

I got up and did my 20 minutes of toning and stretches this morning before work - I missed walk time to a staff meeting today, but will walk tonight for 25 minutes. I have been walking 2x a day and loving it - and really feel like I am lacking now - maybe I'll double tonight's walk if cute-neighbor-man will go with me!
Andy
Thanks and yes I would be interested in the chatroom not exactly sure how that works but you will show us. I did about 15 minutes of walking on treadmill, it may not seem like much but with my health issues it is a start. Thanks for keeping us going!!! You can see we need the push!!!
Hugs,
Terri
Hi Andy ~
Thanks for starting up the exercise posts again. This is an area where I can come up with absolutely A-N-Y excuse to avoid it. Your posts have given me a little kick. I plan to walk 30 minutes on the treadmill tomorrow morning.
The chat room is a great idea. I'll try to join in when I can. I start getting ready for work around 8 PM, so we'll see how it works out.

Hi Andy,
Many of us are on the board in the pm. I am not into the chat idea....it all happens too fast for me to think, and i type too slow to keep up, LOL. But I will be in the MD board after 8pm most nights. If I can think of a thread to create, I will, but if not, I'll be responding to the threads from earlier that day.
My main exercise today was the long trek from the parking lot way across on the other end of the apt community from my bldg. I had to stop and uncramp my back and catch my breath twice, but I made it home without any major problems.
The management is repaving the parking lot. They blocked off way too large a portion at once and we all have had to park up the street, across the street, in neighboring apt areas, etc. It's bad for those of us with handicap tags.
I will be so joyful when mobility is no longer such a problem for me. My gluteus maximus needs to be shrunk, firmed up, and strengthened in a major way.
